What can I say, it’s been a bit tough to motivate to write for the blog lately. Usually it’s exciting to start writing about whatever adventure we just went on, or the new upgrade we just installed. Even though we’re still adventuring, and installing upgrades, the general mood on Nymeria has not been all that high. Infact, it’s been a few months of “meh.”
I’m sure most, if not all of us are going through something similar with all that is going on in the world, and that sucks. That being said, I have hope that this will all end and we can get back to our happy and exciting lives with some semblance of normality.
Being the data junkie I am, I actually have some interesting data to show about this as well. For the last two years, I’ve been using this app “Daylio” that is a quick way to track moods and some habits I want to change. I recently looked at the compiled yearly stats and it clearly shows the “meh” of 2020 so far.
If I look a bit closer, I find some other interesting things. Even though I’ve reported significantly more “bad” days, the overall average is only down a little. Even though I’m more clearly down than I was, it is offset by just enough “good” days not to take the whole mood down too far. I find that encouraging.
In any case, I really just wanted to say that we are still here, we are OK, we did survive Laura, and we will be back to our regularly more upbeat and exciting posts soon. We do have lots to talk about, probably more boat work, but we’re getting closer to being ready to start cruising for real. I can’t wait.
